Bottom Line Results through Employee Engagement
Presented by:
Kathy Boas, SHPR
Research shows that highly engaged employees outperform their disengaged counterparts by 20 to 28 percentage points! This increased engagement can lead to 2-3% increase in operating margin while a reduction in engagement results in a 1-2% decrease in both operating margin and net profit
Despite the compelling research, senior executives and business owners often resist investing in employee engagement initiatives. Executives need to understand that feeling passion for one’s company is critical because a passionately engaged workforce not only improves company profitability, it is also an important differentiator in the marketplace.
How do HR professionals build a “business case” for leaders to understand that employee engagement is a business imperative if an organization is to survive and thrive in these uncertain economic times? This presentation provides the tools for organizational understanding with a definition of “employee engagement” that includes parameters for measurement such as: sales or units produced per employee; product defect rates; safety claims; customer satisfaction ratings and turnover. Case studies from successful companies will provide examples of Best Practices and validate the positive impact of engagement on business profitability, productivity and public relations.
