Sue Christopher has been an HR practitioner for over 15 years. She works for College Park Family Care in Overland Park, KS as Vice President of Human Resources focusing on organizational and employee development.  Sue has served in various positions on the SHRMJC board over the past five years. In addition, she has served on the Kansas SHRM conference planning committee in 2007 and 2010. Sue earned her bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management from Notre Dame College of Ohio. In addition, she holds a Master’s Degree in Organizational Management and is PHR certified. 

Mira is a business immigration attorney and managing partner at the Mdivani Law Firm in Overland Park, KS.   Mira is a member of the Missouri and Kansas Bars and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.  Her areas of expertise are corporate immigration compliance and work visas.  Mira authored numerous articles on business immigration law and several books, including "Employer Immigration Compliance Plan: HR’s Guide to Policies and Procedures that Work", "I-9 Self-Audits: The Best Way to Prevent I-9 Disasters"; and "U.S. Immigration Law and Policy for College Students".  In addition to several professional awards, she received recognition for her pro bono work with immigrant victims of domestic violence from the Kansas Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

Kay is Vice President, Human Resources at Treat America Food Services in Kansas City. She has over 20 years experience in Human Resources and graduated from BakerUniversity with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration.  Kay holds the PHR certification and has been a national SHRM member since 2003.  She has served as  Membership Director, President Elect and President for SHRMJC.

Gordon is a Senior Vice President at the career management firm of Lee Hecht Harrison in Overland Park. He has over 20 years of HR, career management and consulting experience. In his current assignment he provides career transition, executive coaching and leadership development services to LHH clients such as Bayer, Sprint and Hallmark. Gordon has served as SHRMJC Technology Committee Chair 2005/2006, Vice President 2007, President Elect 2008 and President 2009. He is in his second year as Director of Finance for the organization.

Tracie is the Benefits and Wellness Manager at Treat America Food Services in Merriam, KS.  She has over 5 years Human Resources experience and graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelors in Business Administration.  Tracie has been a national SHRM member since 2004 when she helped revitalize the KU student SHRM chapter as the President for three semesters.  She is an active member of SHRMJC and served as the Student Relations Committee Chair in 2006/2007 and as Director of Membership in 2010/2011.

Ann is Director of Business Development for the Overland Park office of the career transition and leadership consulting firm Lee Hecht Harrison. Ann is active in the Kansas City community and also serves on the Board of Directors for the Employment Practices Network of Kansas City (EPN). Ann was Technology Committee Co-Chair in 2008.

Angie is a Training and Implementation Specialist at Gentiva Health Services and has over 10 years experience in Human Resources. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Kansas and a Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in HR Management from Baker University. She is SPHR certified and has been a national SHRM member since 2009.

Barb Henry is the owner and principal of BHR Consulting, LLC.  She has over 20 years of experience as an HR executive, leader, strategist and business partner, most recently as a member of the HR Executive Team for Sony Electronics, Inc. 

Barb is a certified instructor for Directed Dimensions International (DDI) and Employment Learning Innovations, Inc. (ELI). She also possesses certification in Entrepreneurial Achievement from the Kauffman Foundation of Kansas City. Barb earned a B.A. in Personnel Administration from the University of Kansas and has been a member of SHRM-National since 1999. She joined SHRM of Johnson County in July 2010. She currently is on the Board of Directors, and chairs the Membership Committee. She also is an active member of the Employment Practices Network of Kansas City (EPNKC).

Tami has over 25 years experience in human resources and is a self proclaimed HR Geek. She wins all bets on most job titles held in a single career because she has worked her way through the HR ranks and specialty areas starting as an HR Clerk and moving through each specialty and job level including but not limited to HR Technician, HR Specialist, HR Administrator, HR Generalist and HR Manager prior to joining her current peers as an HR Director for KVC Behavioral Healthcare. She has worked in both the non-profit and for-profit arenas. She has worked in union and non-union organizations. She has held a variety of volunteer positions with the SHRMJC chapter and the SHRM KS State Council. Tami is a past Director of the SHRM KS State Council. She has been the Workforce Readiness and Certification Committee Chair for SHRMJC. Tami received her Bachelor of Science from University of Central Missouri and her Master’s in Adult Education from Kansas State University.

Rachel is a Compensation Analyst for Compdata Surveys in Olathe, Kansas.  She has over 15 years of Human Resource experience in a variety of positions including compensation and benefits, consulting and strategic planning.  Rachel has her Bachelor’s  in Human Resource Management from Friends University and her Master’s in Business Administration from Baker University.  She is PHR certified and is pursuing her SPHR certification.  She has been an active SHRM member since 2009 at both the national and local level in both Wichita and Johnson County.

Miriam has 10 years of Human Resources experience and is currently the Manager of Human Resources and Compliance with the Kansas City Free Health Clinic. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Avila University and a Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in HR Management from Webster University. Miriam is PHR certified and has been a SHRM member since 2007.

David Love has worked in human resources for more than 20 years. The past 8 years has been leading the HR function for Cline Wood Agency which is headquartered in Leawood, KS. David earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Personnel Administration at the University of Kansas. In addition he has earned a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management and is SPHR certified.

Anita Dickey has been an HR practitioner for over 15 years. She has managed complex benefit programs and HR environments for the past 10 years in Kansas City.  In 2011 Anita received national recognition for her work in insurance program set up, a national award for HR branding and a national award for development of an award winning wellness program.  The Kansas City Star has called for health reform legislation to be reinvented to "AnitaCare" following her program.  In addition to success and accomplishment within benefits and wellness, Anita has worked in training, employee engagement and employee relations investigations.  Anita has served in positions on the SHRMJC board over the past three years and served on the Polk County SHRM for 5 years prior to moving to Kansas.   Anita also serves on the board for the Johnson County CERT. Anita earned her bachelor’s degree at Upper Iowa University and has been SPHR certified since 2001.
