Religion in the Workplace: Understanding an Employer's Obligations and Rights

Understanding the sources and examples of employers' obligations toward the diversity of employees' religious beliefs and practices, and knowing how to balance them with the employer's business needs and other diversity initiatives, are essential tools for an HR practitioner to add value (and minimize legal exposure) for your organization.

We will discuss:

  • Sources of employers' obligations regarding employee's religious beliefs and practices.
  • Reasonable accommodation obligations for religious beliefs and practices.
  • Balancing Religious beliefs with business needs and other diversity initiatives.

This program has been approved for 1 credit by the HRCI and SHRM.
