HR's Role in Change Management
Organizational change is inevitable. To remain competitive, businesses must focus on innovation and creativity to sustain and grow their market share. Complacency is not an option as it is the antithesis of growth and sustainability. Human resource professionals, whether they realize it or not, play a significant role in driving and managing successful organizational change.

Randy Woehl, MPA, SHRM-SCP, SPHRis the Manager of Organizational Development and HR at Cartwright International where he manages the Human Resource/OD function and leads the cultural change / employee engagement/ employee development initiative. Randy has 15+ years’ experience working as a Human Resource/Organizational Development practioner in Fortune 100 and 500 companies. He has developed and facilitated numerous management and leadership training courses and coached and mentored hundreds of managers on effective management techniques. He also has experience in the design and implementation of benefits, salary and performance management programs and full cycle recruiting.
Randy has published Human Resource articles for the KC Business Journal, written a book review on Design Thinking and is also in the process of writing his first book on Strategic Human Resources for small and median sized businesses. He is a tenured adjunct Graduate and Undergraduate instructor at Avila University teaching Strategic Human Resources (Succession Planning), Training and Development, Strategic Presentations, Compensation and Benefits, Business Management and Employee and Labor Relations (Graduate level). Randy has designed and continues to teach Graduate Human Resources online and on ground at the University of St. Mary and also designed and continues to teach Graduate Managerial Leadership and Human Resource Management at Webster University. Randy has presented workshops on Employee Engagement to 150 or more attendees at the National Call Center week in Las Vegas (June 2015) and the Missouri State SHRM conference (August 2016 and 2017). He presented on Change Management to SHRM-Springfield MO chapter (April 2017), and Employee Engagement at the Missouri Employer Conference in Columbia MO (May 2017).Randy is an active board member for the Kansas City chapter of Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM-KC) and the Mid-America Health Care Coalition. We are required to turn in the number of registered attendees to the Ritz Charles for planning purposes and must pay for the number of attendees we anticipate, whether they attend or not.
