The 2018 SHRM of Johnson County (SHRMJC) Board of Directors would like to extend an invitation to you, our Human Resources professional membership, to apply for a seat on the 2019 Board of Directors.  With an investment of your time and talent, participating on the Board is a great opportunity to help guide the future of our organization, support our membership, grow professionally and develop long-term relationships. 

Each year, SHRMJC recommends a slate of candidates to serve on our Board of Directors. Serving on the board is extremely rewarding. This is your opportunity to contribute to the growth and professionalism of our chapter and your own personal and professional development!

Board Member Benefits:
  • Receive up to 3 hours of certification (SHRM/HRCI) credit per year on the board.
  • Members who meet the eligibility criteria will receive half off membership dues the following year.
Before committing to a board position, please consider the following expectations of all board members:
  • A one-year commitment as a member of the Board of Directors.
  • Attendance and active participation in monthly board meetings.
  • Regular attendance at monthly chapter meetings and/or other events.
  • Attendance at the board strategic planning sessions.
  • Define and deliver strategic goals for your board position.
  • Recruit, train and delegate board tasks to committee members.

If you are a member of SHRMJC and know someone who would be a good addition to and benefit from joining, and they meet the membership qualifications, you, the referring SHRMJC member, may be awarded a $25 gift card for referring new members in 2018!
