PROPOSED AMENDMENT OF BYLAWS
The SHRMJC 2019 Board of Directors have recently updated the ByLaws to reflect current Director titles and general procedural updates.
SHRMJC ByLaws state - Section 13: The Bylaws may be amended by a majority vote of the Board of Directors and then by a vote of the general membership. Voting will take place as outlined in Article 9. Notice must be given at least 30 days in advance and such amendment shall not be effective unless and until approved by the SHRM President/CEO or his/her designee as being in furtherance of the purposes of SHRM and not in conflict with SHRM Bylaws. Any motion to amend the Bylaws shall clearly state that it is not effective unless and until approved by the SHRM President/CEO or his/her designee.
Section 13.1: These Bylaws may be amended at any regular or special meeting of the Chapter providing the above requirements have been met, and upon a vote of a majority of the members present at such meeting or a majority of those who vote electronically.
