As an HR professional, you are likely to be in the position of having to conduct an internal investigation in the course of your professional career. Whether it’s a violation of company policy, an employee or customer complaint, or a weighty investigation into serious allegations of misconduct, being deliberate and intentional about the investigation will make a big difference in whether or not you will discover the truth about what really happened and are able to bring these issues to the best resolution.

During this program we will:

  • Outline ten steps to a successful investigation
  • Identify common investigation mistakes
  • Decide whether to investigate and identify who should perform the investigation
  • Discuss how to plan the investigation
  • Explain how to gather information In most investigations, interviews are the main tool investigators use to find out what happened.

This program has been approved for 1 re-certification credit with SHRM and HRCI.
