The mission of the SHRMJC Certification Committee is to provide education and guidance to current members in their quest to obtain SHRM Certification. We do this by being available to answer questions regarding the benefits of certification, exam schedules, deadlines, fees and eligibility requirements, as well as keeping members informed about, and facilitating, upcoming study sessions.
Goals: Promote Professional Development via the certification process as defined by SHRM and HRCI with an objective to certify as many members as possible.
Methods: Information provided via the newsletter, at monthly membership meetings and through SHRMJC's Certification Study Group.
Benefits: Exciting opportunities to enhance one's own professional development as well as raising the standards for the association and the profession.
Committee Responsibilities May Include:
- Certification committee members help plan the bi-annual SHRMJC SHRM-credential study groups.
- Promote SHRM credential updates at chapter meetings, share information on SHRM credential recertification at chapter meetings.
- Work with other SHRMJC committees to recognize chapter members who have recently received their SHRM credentials.
Any time you are available to volunteer is appreciated - the time commitment is typically 30 minutes a week or less.
You must be a SHRMJC member to volunteer.
