We realize the challenges encountered by college students as they prepare to start their careers. Our goal is to help these soon-to-be professionals make a smooth transition into the workforce by providing them with professional support and development opportunities that will aid them in their roles as HR practitioners.
Goals: Provides a liaison between SHRMJC and area universities keeping student SHRM chapters informed of activities related to the HR profession.
Methods: By developing and supporting ongoing relationships between faculties and student chapters and by providing programs and communication to stimulate activity within SHRMJC.
Benefits: Committee members aid in practical guidance to students interested in the HR fields and provide a professional network to help stimulate their growth and career development. Also helps to bridge the transition from student membership to professional membership.
